The Blasted Lands by James A. Moore: June 24, 2014 (Angry Robot)
James A. Moore's Seven Forges was a pretty big surprise for me last year. I probably went through the first three-quarters without my heart being completely into it, and then BOOM! that ending. The last 50-60 pages or so pretty much ignited everything else that came before in a wildfire of explosion, so you bet I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. The Blasted Lands is the sequel, and wowzas just look at that cover.

DeleteI will probably read this one. The first book was not my favorite by any means, but it was decent enough to warrant a second look. Have to look up your thoughts, I think you reviewed it before I found yall.

I pretty much feel the same as you guys. Basically, the gist of my review for the first book was that I was on board for the story but it really wasn't until the ending hit that I was really hooked. I probably bumped the rating up a whole star just for the last 10%, I just loved the ending that much. So yeah, I'm very curious about the sequel now.
